  • Florals by Miss Plum and Co – final photos by Huy

Just when I thought it was safe to finish up my weddingbee posts, I received these gorgeous floral photos from Huy. Miss Plum and company did an amazing job on the day of. I came into the restaurant a little early not expecting her to be there to set up yet but she was almost done when I arrived! Man, I was floored! Her and crew replicated what I had envisioned for my centerpieces from start to finish. My bouquet smelled so good and the flowers looked so fresh. I loved my MOH’s bouquet too – wishing I could have two bouquets instead of just one! After seeing Mrs. Ladybug’s bouquet wrap, I had to have one of my own! She was also able to replicate the exact boutineere from Mrs. Firefly’s. I personally love berries so I thought this would be perfect – simple and cost efficient yet cute! Personally, I love how it looked in the photos. A nice pop of green!

You know what else was a nice pop of color? My bouquet. I had a really hard time envisioning a really green bouquet (my first bouquet color request) with my raspberry and spotted guinea hairpin so I decided it would be best to just stick with one color – some shade of red. Miss Plum suggested the red peony (correct me if i’m wrong Miss Plum) and I completely trust her taste so we were good to go! The color of my bouquet in person and in photos was so striking. -)

Miss Plum was so easy to work with. She had really creative ideas, great taste, and knew every flower I asked about! I think she’s like a flower encyclopdia! She replied back to all of my questions and requests promptly. I love it when vendors reply back quickly – it keeps all of that waiting and stress to a minimum. -)

    Here are some beautiful photos.

Wow! I knew Huy was a fantabulous photographer but I never knew how popular he was in the Weddingbee community. Per requests, here are some more great shots.

This made me laugh so hard when I saw this photo, we needed to put Mr. Apple’s wedding ring somewhere so we asked Best Man to put it on his finger temporarily just for safe keeping. It didn’t even fit half way!

one more post after this on F8, I promise!

  • An artistic approach by our F8 studio

Professional pictures in by Huy and his assistant Courtney. They did an amazing job and we’re so happy we hired them for our wedding. I don’t think anyone else could have captured the kind of style that we wanted. While sifting through our photos yesterday, his photos made me point and laugh at them. He really took us back in time and relive all the funny and candid moments. Here are some cool moments.

  • Who has a handkerchief for me?

Our wedding day began with a little bit of rain but it ended beautifuly by night. Actually, in all honesty the reception went by so fast I barely remember any details other than the speeches, the highlight of the evening. Beautiful speeches read by Mr. Apple, our Best Man Lee, and Maid of Honor Susan. We’ve gotten so much wonderful feedback from our guests, they especially loved the speeches. Both Mr. Apple and I wrote up the speech but he’s a much better speaker than I so he was given this responsibility. Not a very difficult responsbility since he wasn’t at all nervous. Here are some photos and a small snippet of each speech….

“Good Evening everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying themselves so far this evening. Miss Apple and I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to those who have helped us along the way.”

To Miss Apples’ mom, its so nice to know I can now call you “Mom”.
“Miss Apple and I would like to thank you for your love and support. Coming to America 30 years ago was not easy for you. With barely a grade school education, your inner strength, determination and drive led you to create many successful businesses. You’ve done so much good not only for your family but also for your extended family and friends. You continue to inspire us. We love you. “

As you can tell it was a very emotional day for me and one of our guests in the background…-)

    IMGP0608

    To my father,

“Thank you for teaching me right from wrong, thank you for raising me and teaching me how to be a good citizen of the world. It’s very hard to live up to a man that everyone in my family compares to a Buddha but I hope that I can try to someday be as enlightened as you. Anyone who knows my father knows that he loves to exercise and meditate in the early morning in sub-zero temperatures. I’m still waiting for the day when I can catch him levitating in his backyard. Thanks dad for helping me to realize that the measure of a man is not how much money he makes but what is in his heart and that it is his good intentions that brings upon happiness.”

    IMGP0604

“Finally, the princess of the evening, my wonderful new bride, Miss Apple. I can’t wait to travel the world with you and experience all that it has to offer. Today is an important day for me and I’m glad that my entire family is able to see first hand the reason that I am so happy. It is because I have a wonderful wife. Honey, I love you with all my heart.”

(psss..I didn’t help him with this one – this was all him -))

    IMGP0603

Best Man Lee – by far one of the funniest guys you’ll ever meet. He wasn’t prepared with a speech but he wrote one up in 5 minutes. It was so funny and honest!

“I met him in the police academy about five years ago. When I first met him he talked like this… “Hey, Let’s get in my cahh and go grab some beeyahhs.” (Mr. Apple is from Boston, MA) After having lived in Texas and working in “the hood” for a while he now talks like this…”Hey fool, lets go in my ride and go get some 40′s.” He is like a brother to me. Alot of people complain about their wives, girlfriends, or significant others but when it is all said and done… this right here is the meaning of love.” ( I didn’t understand the last line but we think he meant well.) haha.

    IMGP0601

My Maid of Honor Susan – she told me she was going to just going to “wing it” but she had pages of sweet things to say about our friendship. By the bottom of page one, I was really trying not to cry too hard.

“…Her independence and love for life can only be described as limitless…andnd her love and care for others as endless. I believe that we are all meant to have certain people in our lives; they make us who we are today. Our families, friends, and loved ones… and I thank you Miss Apple for being apart of my life….Never have I seen her happier with anyone else. I’ve also never seen anyone treat her with the utmost respect and care that she deserves.”

  • Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Apple!

People kept mentioning to us that it was such a romantic ceremony – the garden, flowers, music, Mr. Apple and my expressions. I can’t wait to see our wedding video because I definitely didn’t notice any of that. -)

  • Men are simple creatures – sex, food, and appreciation

As one of our wedding gifts, my sister bought us these books written by the famous Dr. Laura Schlessinger. My older sister – always the helpful one. -/

She’s been happily married for over 7 years now with two young boys . Anyone heard of the seven year itch? I guess these books will help just in case we don’t go through the seven year itch. -)

I was uploading my photos onto xanga when I look over to see Mr. Apple reading one of them. I found it cute. He says Dr. Laura’s book thus far is “spot on”. Which means its “pretty accurate” from a male perspective.
